The HID Signo™ 40K Keypad Reader is a wall switch–mount, multi-technology access control reader that combines smart credential support with an integrated keypad for multi-factor authentication. Part of the HID Signo reader platform, it supports credential formats including HID Mobile Access® via native Bluetooth® and NFC, contactless cards, and 125 kHz legacy proximity credentials, while offering PIN entry for enhanced security workflows.
Designed for versatile modern security deployments, the Signo 40K features EAL5+ certified secure element hardware to protect cryptographic keys and credential data. Built-in OSDP secure channel support enables encrypted, bidirectional communication with host panels, while Wiegand and clock-and-data ensure compatibility with existing access control systems. Its robust IP65-rated housing makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and its keypad supports common multi-factor authentication scenarios.
