Description
The HID Signo™ 40T Mechanical Keypad Reader combines multi-technology credential reading with a rugged, mechanical keypad for PIN entry and enhanced multi-factor authentication. Designed for wall switch mounting, the Signo 40T supports a broad range of contactless card formats, mobile credentials via Bluetooth® and NFC, and a keypad for secure PIN-based access. Its durable construction and secure communications make it well suited for demanding access control applications.
Built on HID’s high-security Signo platform, the 40T features certified secure element hardware for protection of cryptographic keys and credential data. It includes native support for encrypted OSDP secure channel communication as well as legacy protocols such as Wiegand and clock-and-data for broad compatibility. The mechanical keypad provides tactile feedback and reliable operation in high-use environments.
