Description
The HID Signo™ 40 Reader is a wall switch–mount, multi-technology access control reader built for modern, secure deployments and easy upgrades from legacy systems. Part of HID’s Signo reader platform, it supports a wide range of credential technologies, including HID Mobile Access® via native Bluetooth® and NFC, so organizations can use cards, fobs, or smartphones for secure entry.
Designed for strong security and reliable performance, the Signo 40 stores cryptographic keys on EAL5+ certified secure element hardware and includes a surface detection feature that automatically recalibrates to help optimize read range in different mounting environments. For future-ready connectivity, it includes out-of-the-box support for OSDP secure channel for encrypted, bidirectional communication, while also supporting Wiegand and clock-and-data for compatibility with existing access control panels.
