Keep the photo, name, and organization logo prominent on the front while placing a barcode, contact details, or return instructions on the back. This Fargo HDP6600 badge printing kit includes automatic two-sided printing, Asure ID Solo 7 software, a Logitech C920S Pro HD webcam, 500 blank white CR80 30 mil PVC cards, a 600-print YMCKK ribbon, and a 1,500-image clear HDP film roll.

600 dpi Detail Without a White Border

HDP retransfer technology prints the image onto film before transferring it to the card. Over-the-edge coverage gives photos and background graphics a finished appearance, while 600 dpi resolution supports fine text, detailed logos, and sharply defined barcodes. The included duplex module turns each card inside the printer, eliminating manual flipping between sides.

Ribbon Matched to Color-Front, Black-Back Cards

The supplied YMCKK ribbon combines yellow, magenta, cyan, and two resin black panels. It is designed for a full-color front with black text or graphics on the reverse, with a rated yield of up to 600 cards in that layout. A replacement cleaning roller is included. This yield does not mean 600 cards printed in full color on both sides; adding color to the back reduces ribbon capacity.

Transfer Film and Card Stock Included

The clear HDP film is a separate, required consumable rated for approximately 1,500 side transfers. Printing both faces uses two film panels per card. Film transfers the image and is not a lamination patch. The kit's 500 white PVC cards are standard credit-card size and contain no magnetic stripe or smart chip. A laminator and overlaminate supplies are not included.

Photo Capture and Card Layout

Use the digitally delivered Asure ID Solo 7 Windows software to arrange front-and-back templates with photos, text, logos, and linear barcodes. Its local database stores up to 200 cardholder records. The USB webcam offers Full HD 1080p video at 30 fps, autofocus, a glass lens, automatic light correction, and a privacy shutter. Higher software editions are available for programs that need more extensive data management.

Practical Production and Setup

HID rates YMCKK batch output at up to 126 cards per hour, or approximately 29 seconds per card including transfer. The separate 230-card-per-hour rating applies to YMCK printing, not this duplex layout. A 100-card input cartridge and 200-card output hopper support routine issuance, and iON heating reaches operating temperature in under 60 seconds.

USB 2.0 and Ethernet are built in. The package includes a USB cable, US/international power cords, and a CD with printer drivers and the user guide. SmartScreen OLED prompts and driver-integrated diagnostics with Color Assist help with operation and color adjustment. The printer carries a four-year warranty; printhead coverage is lifetime under HID's terms. No encoder or card flattener is included; compatible upgrades require separate hardware.
