- Printer Update Note: To help ensure optimal color performance and reduce the risk of ribbon breaks, complete the required printer updates before using this ribbon. Update the FARGO DTC4500e firmware to version 3.7.0.8 or later using the HID FARGO DTC4500e firmware download page, install printer driver version 5.6.0.8 or later using the HID FARGO DTC4500e Windows driver download page, and apply the Gen4StrbC900.ti3 color profile. Keep the printer connected and powered on during the firmware update, do not interrupt the process, then restart the printer and print a test card to confirm color output.
