Photo ID Printing for Everyday Card Programs

Bring photo ID production in house with a compact Fargo DTC1250e badge printing kit for employee IDs, student cards, visitor passes, and membership programs. The single-sided printer is supplied with an EZ YMCKO color ribbon rated for up to 250 prints, 500 white CR80 30 mil PVC cards, Asure ID Solo 7 software delivered digitally, and a Logitech C920S Pro HD webcam.

Color Photos and Clear Card Details

At 300 dpi, dye-sublimation produces full-color photos and logos, while resin black keeps text and barcodes crisp. Edge-to-edge printing makes good use of the card surface. A full-color YMCKO card takes approximately 16 seconds to print; the 100-card input hopper and 30-card output hopper support convenient batch production.

Ribbon and Card Supplies

The included ribbon combines yellow, magenta, cyan, resin black, and a clear protective overlay in one cartridge with an integrated cleaning roller. One ribbon provides up to 250 single-sided prints, so printing all 500 supplied cards in full color requires an additional ribbon.

Practical Uses

Issue new employee badges, replace lost student IDs, or create membership cards as people enroll. Keeping design, photo capture, and printing at one workstation makes it easier to update names, photos, and logos before producing each card.

Card Design and Photo Capture

Use Asure ID Solo 7 to arrange photos, text, logos, and linear barcodes and save up to 200 cardholder records. The C920S webcam supports 1080p video at 30 fps, with a glass lens, autofocus, automatic light correction, and a privacy shutter for the photo capture station.

Connection and Startup Accessories

Connect the printer by USB 2.0. The kit also includes a USB cable, US/international power cords, printer driver and user guide CD, quick start guide, and three cleaning cards. The printer and printhead carry a three-year warranty. Ethernet, duplex printing, and encoding require separately purchased compatible hardware; the included white PVC cards have no magnetic stripe or smart chip.
