Multifunctional cards are made to help businesses and organizations run more efficiently. A multifunctional card reader, which is operated with a PIN-pad by a user, offers a total self-service to the user.
The multifunctional card reader comprises a holding portion, a first sensing device and a plurality of indicators. The holding portion holds the PIN-pad when the PIN-pad is not used. The first sensing device senses a payment card by a certain technique and receives the account information stored on the payment card. The indicators inform the user of verification of account information. A smart card is disclosed and it includes a processor; a first interface for use in communication with a terminal; a second interface for use in communication with another smart card; and RST generation device for generating a RST signal for the another smart card.
